Relevant Experience
More than twenty years as patent attorney. Twelve years in private practice including eight years with the IBM Virtual Law Firm; over three years as in-house patent counsel with IBM Rochester; over five years as patent attorney with U.S. Department of Energy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Negotiated intellectual property rights and Technology Transfer agreements with U.S. government laboratories, including Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Development of hardware and software of optoelectronic shock physics measurement systems. Biochemical research: vaccine development, protein polysaccharide reactions; statistical analysis of cell morphology, purification and characterization of proteins, optical studies of bioactive compounds, isolation of and testing of macrophage. Open-hole oil well logging.

Practice Areas
Has written over 200 patents in subject matter involving computer software including enterprise software, systems, and services, information technology, computer hardware and architecture, semiconductor product design environments circuit technology, optical devices, mechanical systems, biochemical, digital signal processing, synthetic aperture radar, high energy physics, semiconductor optical and electronic devices, fabrication and processing, lasers.
