Practice Areas
Dr. Du has broad experience in U.S. and international patent preparation and prosecution, IP due diligence on freedom-to-operate and patentability, client counseling on patent plans/strategies and patent portfolio development/management, patent opinions on noninfringement and invalidity, reexams, and IP agreements including patent licensing and confidentiality agreements. Dr. Du practices in a variety of technologies including materials science, nanotechnology, chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, and medical devices.

Relevant Experience
Dr. Du was a Patent Prosecution Associate with Fish & Richardson (2007-2010). Dr. Du was also a Law Clerk and a Patent Liaison for the Office of Intellectual Property Counsel of 3M Company (2005-2007). Additionally, Dr. Du has technical experience at 3M Company as an Engineering Specialist and a Senior Research Engineer (2000-2005). Over ten years of experience in technology research and product development on metals, polymers, composites, electronic materials, adhesives, multilayered optical films, optical displays, touch screens, and tablet PCs.
